Thoughts on leadership

Leadership is one of those traits valued by all admissions offices and programs.  And sometimes it's tough to say something original about it (see "The Leadership Thing"). In fact, most of you stick to the importance of vision and buy-in when discussing the topic, which isn't bad or wrong, but can get a little tired.

This issue of Knowledge@Wharton has a special section called "Five Takes on Creative Leadership" with five different heads of organization talking about leadership. While you may have trouble relating to the magnitude of leadership and the numbers they deal with, you will also find some fresh ideas  that you can apply to your experience. Ideally their thoughts will stimulate yours .
