Yesterday the National Center for Education Statistics published a report on students who enroll in multiple institutions. Among 1999/2000 college graduates, nearly 60 percent had attended more than one post-secondary institution.
This data also buttresses my position (last post) that attending a community college and transfering to a 4-year institution will not hurt your admissions chances. Attending multiple institutions is far too common a practice to be an automatic negative in admissions. What counts far more than how many you attended is how you did.
